Pci e 3.0 M.2 in Pci e 4.0 slot?

Ich habe mir ein Mainboard bestellt und da steht für die SSD Verbindungen:

1‎ x M.2 connector (M2A_CPU), integrated in the CPU, supporting Socket 3, M key, type 2242/2260/2280/22110 SSDs:

1. 3rd Generation AMD Ryzen™ processors support SATA and PCIe 4.0 x4/x2 SSDs
2. 3rd Generation AMD Ryzen™ with Radeon™ Graphics processors support SATA and PCIe 3.0 x4/x2 SSDs

1 x M.2 connector (M2B_SB), integrated in the Chipset, supporting Socket 3, M key, type 2242/2260/2280 SSDs:

1. Supporting SATA and PCIe 3.0 x2 SSDs

Und da ich ein absoluter Leihe bin werde ich daraus nicht schlau. Kann ich jetzt meine Samsung 970 Evo 1TB M.2 SSD nur über den Chipset connector verbinden, weil sie kein PCIe 4.0 hat? Oder gibt es da eine abwärtskompatibilität? Ich würde sie selbstverständlich schon gerne über die CPU lanes laufen lassen, das sie ja eine x4 ist usw.
Mainboard ist das Gigabyte B550M DS3H und Prozessor (falls das wichtig ist) der Ryzen 5 3600.

Im Normalfall kannst du die einfach reinstecken und die läuft ist Abwärtskompatiebel
